My name is Jordan Poindexter, and I am a current junior at Murray State University, where I study elementary education. I recently received my associate's degree from Hopkinsville Community College, which equipped me with the skills to continue my education at Murray State University. I have been blessed to receive so many opportunities to further my education here in my hometown, near the ones who constantly encourage me to continue on this journey.![]()

At Tuesday’s Rotary meeting, we had the pleasure of hosting head football coaches, Dustin Lopez from Hopkinsville High School and Ethan Atchley from Christian County High School. Both coaches offered wonderful insights into their recent rivalry matchup and the challenges both teams faced and will continue to face throughout the remainder of the season. They also discussed the development of their programs, emphasizing the vital role of community support. ![]()

Happiest of BIRTHDAYS to this gem, our executive administrator, Tammy Rae Cowan! She truly keeps our club of 110 volunteers and all of the events running smoothly. She sets the tone for the grace, professionalism and class that we strive to show within our mission of youth and education and service above self each and every day. She juggles 110 personalities with diplomacy, thoughtfulness and kindness. She thinks things through so that we can do our best work for this region. ![]()

The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville has committed $350,000 over the next ten years to assist Christian County Public Schools in "growing our own" teachers. We remain laser focused on youth and education by investing in four-year scholarships for our most high demand industries via the Rotary Impact Program. YOUR donations grow our community. ![]()

The words above perfectly describe what Campanile Productions is all about! Campanile is celebrating its 15th year of community theatre here in Hopkinsville! In those 15 years they have produced 36 full shows and over 40,000 patrons have come to watch a show. They have provided camps for children and teens every summer since 2011 with the first summer having 43 campers and this past summer 200+ campers. ![]()

#HoptownRotary was honored to welcome our very own Dr. Dale Leatherman, Rotary District 6710 Governor, to #RotaryTuesday this week! Dr. Leatherman gave an update on behalf of Rotary International and all of their initiatives. The Hopkinsville Rotary Club was also presented with the Star Award again this year, marking our club’s annual commitment to supporting Rotary International and District 6710. 🌟

A huge shout out to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club for providing the students of our county the opportunity to attend college debt free for the first two years. It’s a wonderful program that Hailey was able to take advantage of.
So many amazing things happening at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County! Executive Director Alissa Keller joined us for #rotarytuesday to share her pure excitement and passion of the history of Christian County and what they are doing to share the stories. From Museum Mondays, History on Tap, Tombstone Tuesdays, walking and bus tours – there are so many ways to learn through the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County!![]()
